We Are Slowly Dying

What happened to the clip of the weeks, or any other contests for that matter?.... I think we should start those up again. LB is turning into just a chat site for fake skaters. Don't just leave it up to the people "in charge" of the website. Someone put up a contest thread or something. I was thinking something like bang yo self (with an original title of course) I think that would be great fun. People are making great videos. I'm liking them a lot :D. I just want LB to be as lively as it was when it first started. I'm sure if we all put effort in, it would boost everyones morale and give them the extra push to make more videos. ALSO! Trying not to like... get anyone butthurt here but I've been seeing the same people on featured for the longest time :I I understand that the videos are great and all but give the new guys a chance... Not saying I'm new or anything lol I haven't even been making videos. 

Park/deck creators! 

You guys are needed in this community very much >:O So instead of posting your graphics/ parks in the chat box, take the time out to drop them in a thread with some photos. It would help everyone out, even you. If any Mods or Admins could make a Notification  bar or something strictly for Graphics and Parks that would be great. Keeps everyone updated on what's new. :) Well these are just my ideas.. Some of you may think they're just dumb. But Eh..

Ok now heres the truth;
Contests are started all the time and majority of the time either no one signs up and complains or(biggest reason) people are all hyped and shit but when the time comes only a few actually participate . 
And for the featuring, that doesn't go by if your well known at all it's by the quality of the vid/pic. If newer guys want to get featured and given a chance they can't just post bad pics/vids that aren't featured worthy.

obiwan started that ALL-OUT series a few weeks ago.

Ladd, jebo, and myself were the only ones who made videos.

half the people that said they were down to compete didn't even make a video.

Lb isn't dead.

Lb totally releases mags every month.

We have up to date ads for videos that haven't came out.

The park section isn't under construction.

And people definitely don't chat more than reply to threads.

i'm picking up some sarcasm there Marco ;)

it's not just Lb,the community's slower in general.we have a game series that's at the least(S3) 2+ years old with nothing new on the horizon.i still play the shit out of it but i can see why others may not.

i just don't think most people are interested in fakeskate contests anymore.your ideas are great though,just hard to get guys on board now.

i would like to collaborate with someone on a contest idea, that i at least have not seen myself 

theres always talk about coming up with original ideas and staying away, to a certain extent, from real life contest ideas (xgames, batb, etc). one idea i think would really generate interest and actual participation is a GvR contest.

I've been thinking with rallz to do a make it count contest at parks that were already made ex. warp skatepark, westchester.

I'd make a highlights video and anyone who wanted to be in it could join. Just a thought...
